2.1 Account Information
When you sign up for ShopTalk AI, we collect: name, phone number, email address, business name, location, and WhatsApp Business Account ID.
2.2 WhatsApp Messages & Conversations
We store WhatsApp messages between your customers and the AI chatbot for: service improvement, customer support, analytics, and order processing. Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest.
2.3 Business Data
Product listings, pricing, business hours, inventory, and customer orders uploaded to ShopTalk AI are stored securely on our servers.
2.4 Usage Data
We collect analytics data: login times, features used, message volume, API calls, and device information. This helps us improve our service.

4. Data Storage & Security
Where your data is stored: All data is stored on secure servers hosted in Pakistan and backed up internationally for disaster recovery.
Encryption: WhatsApp messages and sensitive data are encrypted using AES-256 encryption both in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.
Access controls: Only authorized employees with need-to-know access can view your data. All access is logged and monitored.
5. Data Retention
WhatsApp conversations are retained for 90 days by default (configurable). Backup data may be retained for up to 1 year. Account data is retained as long as your subscription is active. You can request data deletion anytime, though some data may be retained for legal compliance (minimum 1 year).
6. Sharing Your Information
We do NOT sell your personal data. We only share information:
- With WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) to send and receive messages
- With payment processors (JazzCash, EasyPaisa, bank partners) for billing
- With cloud providers for data storage and backup
- When required by law or government request (with notice where possible)
- To prevent fraud or enforce our agreements
7. Your Rights & Choices
Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Correction: You can update or correct your account information anytime in your ShopTalk AI dashboard.
Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).
Export: You can export your data in a portable format.
Opt-out: You can opt out of marketing emails through the link in any email.
